Seagal In Birmingham Landscape

Capturing an unplanned scene from my commute: a seagull dragging a blue plastic bag, briefly halting the rhythm of the street.  Attracted by the city’s contrasts. I chose this moment for its mix of movement, humour and disruption in an otherwise ordinary urban setting. Part of a continuing series of plein air studies around the UK. Professional grade oil paint on canvas board finished with a protective gloss varnish. No fittings attached.
